What is athletic therapy?

A profession dedicated to providing elite level care for patients of all activity levels.

Certified Athletic Therapists

Have graduated from an accredited program and have completed a national membership exam. Athletic Therapists are required to accumulate continuing education credits and first aid to maintain their certification.

Athletic Therapists work in a variety of settings, including workplaces, sports and with the general public. They use a hands-on approach that includes manual therapy, exercise prescription, and injury-specific rehabilitation plans to help you return to your favorite activities safely.

Athletic Therapist and Physiotherapist have very similar practices they both assess, treat and rehab musculoskeletal injuries.

Physiotherapists have a larger scope of practice. They also treat respiratory, cardiovascular and vestibular conditions.
