Kathy Markezinis

Physiotherapy Assistant

A Toronto native, she earned her BSc in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario and St. Louis University. Her clinical training took her across the U.S.—from Neurology at NYU Medical Centre in Manhattan to Cardiopulmonary (including heart and lung transplants!) at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, and Orthopaedics at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. After working at York Finch Hospital and spending time in Europe assisting a physiatrist, she took a meaningful pause to raise a family. Now, she’s enthusiastically working toward reinstating her registration and returning to a profession she’s always respected and loved.

Outside of work, she finds joy in swimming and painting—two passions that keep her both grounded and creatively inspired.
