  • Your first session begins with a full-body assessment. This is where your Physiotherapist will ask you questions about your experience with the pain or dysfunction, your routines, and what your goals are. Next a series of strength, function, and mobility tests will with performed to diagnose your pain and establish a baseline for progress.

    Fusing your goals and lifestyle with science-backed treatments, your Physio will create a Care-Plan tailored uniquely to you and your needs. This is our secret sauce. Our Care-Plans identify your WHY, which is what we use to fuel your treatment and get you back to moving deliciously.

    Each Care-Plan is unique and often includes a range of modalities and therapies.

  • We recommend that you come wearing comfortable clothing that will allow you move with ease and will allow us to easily see the skin, joints and muscles around your injury.

  • One of the most common fears about attending Physiotherapy is that it’s painful. Physiotherapy should not hurt, however, it is quite normal to feel discomfort as you retrain muscles, mobilize swollen joints/tissue and increase range of motion. This is the good kind of hurt. Our goal ultimate goal is to get you moving pain-free.

  • Our clinic offers a diverse range of expertise from our care professionals- which is why we operate as a team. A therapist for your initial assessment will often be recommended to you by our administration based on your injury, needs and goals. Once a baseline assessment and Care-Plan is established with you, we utilize the range of advanced training and expertise of our collective to better serve you. Some of these advanced services include; acupuncture, aquatic therapy, sports injury management, concussion management, cupping, Functional Movement Screens, custom bracing, taping, sport specific training and more. Our staff don’t compete, they collaborate.

  • Yes, we offer virtual care! This allows you to access professional healthcare from the comfort of your home. Our tele-health services are offered on a private, secure connection to ensure our patients privacy is respected.

  • The therapists at Bolton Physio are licensed Physiotherapists, Athletic Therapists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, or Kinesiologists. In addition, each clinician is mentored in their role and partakes in ongoing learning and development sessions.

  • Per our cancellation policy, if you need to reschedule or cancel your session we require 24 hours advance notice. If you cancel or reschedule your session within 24 hours, you will be charged for the session.

  • Yes. We can bill directly to your insurance provider as long as your company allows for this.

  • To book a session with us, please phone our clinic at (905) 857-3927 or submit a form online. We will be able to offer a consultation over the phone that will help guide you in your first steps towards recovery.

  • No. In Ontario, physiotherapists are considered primary health care practitioners, so a referral from a doctor is not necessary. However, if you have coverage for physiotherapy treatment through an extended health benefit plan, the insurance company may require a doctor’s referral.

  • We take your privacy seriously. The appropriate collection, use and disclosure of patients’ personal health information is fundamental to our day-to-day operations and to patient care. Protecting the privacy and the confidentiality of patient personal information is important to the physicians and staff at Bolton Physiotherapy Clinic.
